The Silver Belles is a contemporary a cappella Christmas carolling trio drawn from a collective of some of Vancouver’s best singers. Primary members are Jennifer Scott, Marianne Grittani and Linda Kidder. Joani Bye, Karin Plato, Beverley Elliott, Melody Daichun, Coco Love Alcorn, Nancy Newman, Lynnette Salton, Mo Field and Sharon McNulty have all been part of the trio throughout the Silver Belles’ history which began in 1990. See the Photo Gallery of 'Belles Through the Years'. (The above photo was from a special event featuring Jennifer Scott on piano in addition to the trio of singers.)
All of these talented women have extensive and varied backgrounds in the field of entertainment, winning awards both locally and internationally. Since they began, the trio has been brightening up the holiday season with their engaging three-part harmony arrangements of traditional holiday favourites.
For 10 years The Silver Belles were regulars in the atrium of the HSBC building and for many years have been bringing holiday cheer to shoppers at Urban Fare and Choices Markets.
They are a regular feature on CBC Radio as part of their live annual Food Bank Drive show and were chosen by Shelagh Rogers to represent the West coast on her ‘Cross Canada Christmas’ show.
The Silver Belles, with their superb vocal blend, warmth and humour, will add a touch of elegance to your festive occasion.
